  Native to  Australia, occurs in Northeast and also in South-eastern Queensland and NE NSW.

Grows well in many coastal locations with mediterranean climate, in ful sun or partial shade

as long as it is reasonably well watered. Also grows in well developed rain forest on a variety of sites.

Altitudinal range from near sea level to 1500 m.

A very popular tree in cultivation, it has a dense crown and produces beautiful flushes of new growth

and deleicious small red fruits. The pear shaped fruits are edible and can be made into jam.

It is an Evergreen, so it will tend to keep its leaves throughout the entire year.

Small leaved lilly pilly, is known for its tree habit and growing to a height of approximately 60.00 metres

This species produces millable logs and the timber is marketed as Cherry Satinash, a useful general
purpose structural timber.
